It has been a busy week all round
The pigs have been enjoying the long awaited better weather and enjoying the wallows.
Orders for there bacon has been at an all time high as well and has been a busy week in the butchery with nearly 2,000 sausages made whole butchered pigs and a few hoggits keeps all the team busy.
The lambs are growing away well and in the next week or so the first of our spring lambs will be ready.
Cattle are enjoying good grass and are all looking happy I’m pleased to say.
Apples have been really busy it’s this time of the year where we adjust the crop load we work hard to reduce the flower numbers at flowering time and look to grow 120 fruits per tree so if they have more on we have to remove them by hand, with some places being exactly right some around 3 times as much on them.
The Bees have been very busy and the honey is flowing well with 24 Frames processed just on Thursday.
Summer Fair day today and Friday nights job is to do the sausages 300 jumbo sausages made for you all to enjoy at the:
Secret Gardens Touring Park,
Mile Tree Lane,
Wisbech St Mary.
There is plenty to see and do at this food and fenland fair.
